Top 5 Niche Irish Whiskeys

1. Athru Annacoona - Finished in the finest Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso Sherry casks, there are only 6600 bottles made. Rich and well balanced, it's resonant with Autumnal aromas and rich silky sweetness. Distilled in Lough Gill, County Sligo.

      2. Blackwater Planxty Wilcox Five Grain - Blackwater Distiller sits on the banks of the mighty Blackwater river in West Waterford. It’s a quiet spot, with little to distract their small team. This single barrel release is a five grain Irish whiskey, with hints of marmalade toast with apple butter and stouted molasses.

        3. Clan Colla - from Ahascragh Distillery's Family Bond Series in County Galway (Ireland's first eco-distillery). Carries flavours of creamy smooth caramel, dried fruit, nuttiness, vanilla, and chocolate orange. A long and sophisticated finish with a final release of the full-bodied flavours.

        4. Old Comber Irish Whiskey - The Echlinville Distillery is reviving the famous Old Comber Irish Whiskey brand after a near 70 year absence. Old Comber Whiskey was founded in 1825 and produced at the Comber Distilleries, County Down, which were located just ten miles from where Echlinville now stands.

        5. Copeland Merchant's Quay- a unique blend of three different whiskeys - grain whiskey, double and triple distilled malt whiskeys - aged in four different casks. Natural colour, non-chill filtered. This distillery also offers tours, check out our experiences:
